Something a Little Different

Coffee Can Supper

Can be made in either the large coffee cans or the smaller ones, just adjust ingredients to suit.
Vegetable oil
Potatoes, onions, carrots, peeled and cut in bite-size pieces (tomatoes, celery, etc.)
Meat of choice: Hamburger, steak or chicken, cut in bite-size pieces
Season with pepper, onions, salt, garlic, to your own liking. Delicious with dry onion soup mix!

Put vegetable oil in bottom of coffee cans just to cover bottom. Place vegetables, meat, and seasonings in can. Can put more oil or butter on top. Cover tightly with foil. Set in coals to bake for about 1 hour. Cook until meat is fully cooked and vegetables are tender.

Elephant Stew

1 medium sized elephant
2 rabbits (optional)
Vegetables of your choice
Salt and pepper to taste

Cut elephant in small bite sized pieces. This should take about two months. Add vegetables and enough gravy to cover. Cook for about 1 week at 450 degrees. Will serve about 3800 people. If more people are expected, the two rabbits may be added, but do this only if necessary as most people do not like hare in their stew.
