Homemade Ice Cream

3 Eggs
2 cups milk
11/2 cup sugar
2 cups whipping cream (not whipped)
2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract

Beat milk and eggs together in large pan. Add sugar and cook over low heat - stirring constantly until thickened - about 10 minutes. Mixture should coat the spoon. Cool, then add cream and vanilla. Refrigerate overnight. For best results, cool the container for the ice cream maker also. Try adding fresh ripe peaches or strawberries, mashed a little for smaller pieces and to get juice into ice cream.
